The work was created on the side of the Dewees Island Nature Center. In this central location, the installation was intended to aid the conservation leaders in educating visiting schools and groups. The work explored the relationship between the ocean's tide and the plants and animals alike that lived there. Sea turtle eggs hatched in the right corner of the installation, while a seagulls perched on a post above watching for their next prey. Through that experience I worked closely with the community to ensure I was communicating their vision to the fullest and creating pieces that would stand up against the test of time. With their nature center's prime location right off the bay, the installations would be prone for more wear and tear than the average. Over the course of ideation and creation I discovered a multitude of material replacements and adjustments to ensure the installation would survive the harsher conditions the location received.
